Employed now!

Well the 2 day interview went well that now means that I am a junior animator woop, woop. I have been there for 3 months now and its loads of fun. I will post stuff if I am allowed to (lots of hush hush projects, quite exciting), but am working on a new little animation in my free time so will post stuff on that up in the near future. Heres the initial concept sketch for that one. It looks very similar to something i just can't work it out?!?

2 day interview animation tests

I went for a 2 day interview at a games company and produced the following animations in under two days. Please excuse glitchy stuff like the hands swimming about, had limited time so its not polished.

Credits: animation = me, model and rig = someone else!

Turnip Man

This character was created as a test after a job interview. I was given some designs and had to create a turnip man. I redesigned the character, modelled, textured and animated him in a simple idle animation. This took about a day to do.

Platform Joe

This is a work in progress human movement test for myself. IK_Joe is gonna run across a classic platform game level, overcoming the obstacles. This is the first obstacle he faces.

More to come.

The Other pushing a box.

A short bit of animation showing the Other character from my film Morp! pushing and lifting a heavy box.

Word City

This was a quick, rough test I did based on a brief of a city being built out of words. A man would have been talking and you would have been able to see what he was saying amongst the buildings. I chose 'come with us now on a journey through time and space'. Never got to the space bit. Total build time 3 hrs.

MORP!

Right, first things first. I made a short animated film during my final year at Uni called 'Morp?'. If you want to watch the film then go to http://www.morpthefilm.co.uk. It's a 4 min film about two characters who aren't going to get along, and there's a creepy tree too. Let me know what you think.
